Just Enlisted in Navy, want to become Officer/Pilot?
-
I haven't left for the Navy yet and still deciding which job i really want, but not sure which to choose from. Is there a certain job in the Aviation (enlisted) department that might help me in becoming a pilot. I already know you have to become an officer first to be a pilot. What I'm thinking right now is start with an choose some aviation job, and after basic try for STA-21 program, then I'm set? I know I don't know much right now. So anyone with this kind of knowledge, Where do i begin? Hope the question isn't confusing.

Answer:
Not really, You will need a year or two of college credits and a good SAT score to apply for STA-21. Its not something your gonna do after basic.

doesn't matter... heck I've heard of a submariner getting a D in physics and college and ended up a pilot (wanted subs!), so anything can happen
