First paycheck for BCT?

• My boyfriend left for BCT on June 29, 2010, I wanted to know when his first paycheck will be deposited into our checking account. I would also like to know what would be deducted from that first paycheck and roughly how much are we looking at him getting paid. He is an E-2 but because we are not married he will only collect his base pay. Oh and the last thing is will he get paid since June 29th. Any help please. Thanks!

  He left at the perfect time. If he arrives at his BCT Base on 29 or even 30 June, then the first stations he will in process will be personnel and finance. At finance he will provide them with his banking information, I hope he brought it, and finance will set up his direct deposit. He will most likely be paid by direct deposit on 15 July and that will include the few extra days he is owed for the month of June. From then on his pay check will be deposited on the 15th and the 31st of the month. If those days fall on a weekend or holiday then he will be paid the last work day prior to that weekend or holiday. You can see his base pay amount on the chart below. Being that he is single, subtract about 25% out of his monthly base pay and the remaining 75% is about what he will receive. Good luck to your soldier! Edit: If anything slows down that first check then his first check will hit on 31 July and will include the entire month. If the first check seems a few hundred short, it is because he took an "advance" pay in cash and that is being taken from his check.
