How hard is it to get into the NROTC?

How hard is it to get an NROTC scholarship?

• Okay. I'm interested in getting an NROTC scholarship. So those of you that have gotten this scholarship or know someone that has what are the requirements? What was your/their SAT score, GPA, and what extra curricular activities did they or you partake in. What other circumstances are there? Assume that I meet all physical standards, moral conditions, etc.

• Answer:

  I had a 1600 SAT, 2100 if you include the writing, a 34 ACT, and a 4.0 unweighted GPA. I was the vice president of one club, and in another 4. I also played 4 years of varsity football and tennis, and was a captain for both. As for fitness I could do a sub 9 mile and a half, and around 80 push ups and situps in 2 minutes. A lot of the other MIDN's in the program also had similar scores. There were some who were not very physically fit, but they were insanely smart. Generally speaking they want well rounded individuals who was involved in a lot of sports and activities in high school while still maintaining a high academic level.
