• hello there my name is abraham k, from uganda, i'm 22 , doing bachelor of science, computer science well my dream is to serve in us marine corps after this degree, sound funny? well, i'm requesting some guidance on how i can join the usmc i understand that usmc is for us citizens, but i wonder if it's possible for a foreigner like me to join, any chance or orpotunity, i intend to exploit it. i'm plannig to move to us verry soon, i wish to know how long i will have to leave in us to be eligible so that i can go on with my carreer in marine forces. i'm aware of the aptude tests and physical fitness requirement, i feel i can handel that . ok, here in our country i w'd like to serve but i hear still, that some of our forces do training from abroad. friends, any advice avilable i welcome it,you can write to me,thats fine thankyou abraham k

  Many of our finest Men and Women serving in the US Armed forces took the oath of citizenship while on active duty.How they enlisted as an alien,I don't know.That would be a question for the US State Department and/or Immigration.I would suggest you go to the official USMC web site(below) and explore that.While there, click on the recruiting tab (tool bar tab,far right)Someone will be in touch with you,I,m sure.As you are working on a BA the Corps will probably like to see you in the Academy in Annapolis,Md.(www.usna.edu)Yes,it's true that many foreign countries enroll their students here for further training.Many attend a Service Academy like West Point or Annapolis.Good Luck
