Where can I do/ What work experience can be done if you want to be a doctor in the navy or air force?

  • I would like to become a doctor in the navy or air force. I am currently in year 10 and it is required for us to do some sort of work experience. By the way; i live in Australia. I'm still not quite sure where to do work experience I mean; would doing work experience at the Melbourne Airport give me an insight of the air force. Please give me suggestions on where to do work experience if I want to join the Navy or Air Force. Thanks guys! I appreciate this =)

    Uh..probably attend and graduate Medical School and obtain a Medical License...I would think that would be far more beneficial than working at the airport..

Working at the airport? Maybe if you did something medically relevant at the airport. But the ONLY type of experience relevant for doctors/nurses are internships/residency/fellowship programs. You can't expect someone working security at the airport to come into any medical field and expect relevant experience. Being a doctor in the Air Force doesn't mean you do any and all jobs in the Air Force. You're still just a doctor, doing what all doctors do. Except you'll be wearing a uniform and may be out in the field, in a battlefield or whatever. They won't require you to fly a plane or do air traffic controller work.
