What is a good college for majoring in Criminal Justice?

I am in college for criminal justice?

  • I am 20 (21 this Saturday... Yay!) and I am majoring in criminal justice (I am a freshman at a university). I am thinking about joining the U.S. Cost Guard (I'm set on that and will not listen to other branches of military) after I graduate from college. I want to be with the FBI or become a detective for a larger city (Nashville, Atlanta, Memphis, L.A., Las Vegas, Etc.). Would joining a part of the military help out with me reaching those goals? Thank you!

The FBI requires a four year degree. The FBI recruits either C.P.A.s or Lawyers who have worked for at least five years (so the F.B.I. can check your track record). Being a veteran does not necessarily help you get into the F.B.I.

with 4 parenthetical comments in a single sentence, i suggest you switch to English as a major. Cops must have the ability to communicate clearly and you do not. If you are asking if coast guard experience helps with being assigned as a detective in every larger city in the u.s., it does not. Ask further what you intend to do with the USCG. If you are in charge of inventorying flatware in a mess hall, that will not help with your goal of being a cop.
