What jobs are out there in the communications field?

Marines communications question?

  • 1) What its like to be in the communications field in the Marines?? 2) Whats the hrs and deployment ratio? 3) Whats are the good mos in the communications field? 4) Does it transfer to civilian world? If so, is it good jobs ?? 5) I think it transfer very well if someone obtain a security clearance? What you think? If any Marines in this mos field is looking at this , please write experience...Thanks for you help! I think my choices are logistics or communications.......

    I was a 6316. It was communication/navigation technician on KC-130 aerial refuellers. Just an electronics tech that removed and replaced different components like radars, radios, etc. Got a great job when I got out 6 years ago, electronics background has opened a lot of doors for me. Plus you get to see the world and never have to worry about being stuck on an aircraft carrier because the planes are too big.
