ROTC and the Air Force while on active duty, how hard?

I was wondering: I signed a standard 4 year deal with the Air Force as a 3e5x1 or an E.A. It might sound selfish but I want more, I would like to become an Officer. I have my basic 60 units in college (my A.A), and I have done my research and saw that they have two programs that you can do for ROTC. One is where you get out of the Air Force and then come back in and become an Officer, and the other program is that you stay in the Air Force and you are still on active duty, but they pay for you to go to school. I really want to do this program, but I don't how hard it is to get in. Has anyone out there done it? I have heard that OTS is even harder to get into than this ROTC program. Anyone have any tips? Thanks!

Going to school while on active duty is very, very time consuming. However, the pay of an officer is well worth it if you are considering a career in the military. ROTC isn't hard to get into, you just have to sign up for it.

Actually it is not easy to get into OTS or to be chosen for any commissioning program. You have to be an outstanding airmen to do either. And be recommended by your squadron commander. It is not like, you meet the minimum requirements and your automaticly selected. Most people who apply are not selected for the program. That the ones who are outstanding airmen, and recommended by thier Commander.
