Can I file for unemployment if I was wrongly fired?

I was fired about a year ago and I still can not find a job, is it too late to file for unemployment now?

  • I am concerned that it's too late now. But money is very tight and I can't afford to live basically. Also, I am a diabetic and doctors bills and supplies arn't cheap. any clue?

  • Answer:

Yes, it is. Your unemployment benefits are based on the previous years earnings.

well first of all, you were fired so that disqualifies you from UE right there........ and yes, its too late for you to tap into it now. why did you wait? if you felt you had a chance (which you probably dont since you were fired) then you should have tried to get on it immediately

if you havent worked for a year, been sick, thedeputy dawg will probably disqualify you
