Do points go on your license when you are found guilty in court or on the day you get the tickets?

I got 2 tickets in december of 07, and around june of 08 I had the court date and got about 7 points on my license. I was wondering if the points went on my license as of december 07, or as of june 08. I live in NY and if you get 11 points in an 18 months period then you lose your license, and i just got 2 tickets (which amount to 10 points) the other day. if the points from december 07 did go on my license in december and not june, then i am fine and don't have to worry about it...but if not, then i have a serious problem. so does anyone know when the points go on your license?

Points are applied AFTER you are found guilty of whatever you were charged with. You have a problem.

on the day you got them you are a suspect the judge will decide your guilt then you get the points but do not worry at your rate you will loose your license
