Did the law for driving in California change?
-
So l got my permit on September 3, 2010 but l failed my first one on August 25, 2010. And yesterday l showed my friend my permit and it says it expires 08-25-11...and she told me that l got the 1 year permit instead of 6 months. She said the law changed from 6 months to a year and l'm really angry right now bc l was hoping to take my driving test in the end of January or beginning to February of 2011. So is it true? Or can l just take it 6 months from the time l got my permit which is either January or February like l said? PLS HELP. l really hope that that 1 year thing is not true ):

Answer:
No it's still six months all the year part means is that if you don't pass the drivers test by a year you'll have to renew your permit or wait till your 18 Bottom line after six months of a permit and you meet all the certifications you can have your license
