Can I post pictures of a petting zoo truck on the internet?

• Hello all, I consider myself an animal activist. You won't find me in front of KFC protesting their "Kentucky Fried Cruelty," but if there is an injustice against an animal I will not hesitate to speak up. In light of that... I was driving down the highway yesterday and I saw a trailer carrying a pony. The trailer was open-air, so they had a tarp covering it. Problem is, the trailer was too short so the tarp was tied down over/against the horse's back, forcing the horse to put its head down and restricting the animal's head and neck movement. To make matters worse, the tarp was loose in areas and whipping against the animal's face and back from the winds caused by the highway travel. Needless to say, I snapped a few photos and wrote a concerned email to the owner of the "mobile petting zoo" advertised on the side of the truck towing the trailer. My question is this: am I allowed to post these pictures on the internet? In her reply, the owner threatened legal action because I posted the picture on facebook, saying that I am "posting pictures of her business without her authorization". A little about the pictures: They do NOT include the name of the petting zoo, though I wrote it in the caption. They do NOT include personal info such as a license plate number. They do NOT include humans/people, only animals (last time I checked you don't need an animal's permission to post a picture of them on the internet) They were taken on a freeway, on public property, in broad daylight I don't want to take the pictures down because I feel that people should be aware of these instances of animal cruelty, and they have a right to see something that anyone could have seen driving down the highway.
