Traffic ticket out of state?

The day after the state dismissed the charges on a traffic ticket?

  • the day after the DA had to drop the charges on me in a traffic ticket a cop that the DA called for the state came to my house. He wanted to see my evidence that I had and wanted to see my copy of the ticket. I told him he needs to go to the DA like I did to get my info . he told me that the DA would not give it to him . He told me he wanted to get the person fired . The so called cop (meter made) that gave me the ticket did not fill it out it was 1/2 blank . My ? is , can this cop show up @ my house the next day and ask to see my evidence ? Is this norm for a cop to do this when a case is drooped ? I do have it on video tape and the cop did see that I had it in my hand and I did tell him that I was going to tape the conversation . Is what he did right or should I go see his boss about this that he came to my house and asked to see my paperwork .

  • Answer:

Let it go for now and chalk it up to bad judgement. If they come back, a call to the police station might suffice.
