Pawn shop?

This guy told me I could pawn his guns at a pawn shop or pawn them to a person?

• My boyfriend at the time told me I could pawn his guns to a person or pawn them at a pawnshop. He is now trying to tell me if I don't get his guns back that he is going to press charges on me. I think it's bull because I never guaranteed him that I would be able to get them back. I also have text messages from his phone saved to mine saying I could take them. He doesn't say exactly what type of guns they are but he says "if you want you can take my guns and pawn them for some money" those are his exact words. I just wanted to know if I could get into trouble when he was the one who told me to take his guns in the first place.
