Harvesting small trees in Wisconsin?
-
I enjoy carving and making walking sticks or canes. So what I would like to know if it is legal to go onto public land and harvest a few small trees? I was looking online and couldn't find the information. It could be that I'm just an inexperienced google-er. So if anyone could share their expertise it would be greatly appreciated. If it isn't legal is there a place that I could harvest small trees? Thanks again

Answer:
No it is not. That is considered theft and vandalism. You need permission from the Park Rangers. You are not to bring or take anything to public lands.
