How is a bill passed in New York? Whats the Process?
-
I'm interested in the process of passing a bill in NY. If the bill I'm worrying about is already called a Senate XXXX bill does that mean it's mad a lot of progress?
-
Answer:
Sounds like you need to watch a little educational film from the 70's that goes: I'm just a bill, just a little old bill, and I'm sitting on capital hill. It's pretty much identical to the process in Washington. A bill needs to be approved by both houses of the legislature and then signed into law by the executive branch (governor.)
