What are some things to do in Scranton, PA?

Do I need a permit for a yard sale in Scranton, PA?

• I'd like to have a yard sale, I haven't lived in Scranton very long. Where I used to live, if you lived within city limits you had to have a permit, it was like 5 bucks. Does anyone know if I need one in Scranton? Thanks!

  From what I've found it would seem your fine, that no permit is required. The Scranton web site has a listing of the various codes the city council has enacted, look under Chapter 379 'Second hand goods and Dealers'. You only need one if you are in a commercial enterprise. Even if the city did require permits, I doubt they have someone policing yard sales to check them.
