Background check for a job?

I was offered a job and now they are doing a background check, and my background is clean; still have a Q..?

  • I was offered a job and now they are doing a background check, and my background is clean. However, the only thing I'm worried about is the date of employment at one of my jobs. I worked at this job twice, for a very short period, and I estimated the dates of employment. For instance, let's say I was employed Oct 2005-Feb 2005 and I put Sept 2006-Dec 2006. Will that matter? I know it was a few months, but I couldn't remember the exact date. What will happen with the background check in this case? Will they just ask when I was employed? Or are they going to say, was So&So employed on these dates ____________, and if the company says no, I get rejected?

Other answers

Background checks typically don't include employment dates. There is no database where this sort of information is put and offered for background checks. They only look at court, credit, and traffic records.
