Will I ever get hired as an EMT in FL if I was arrested for aggravated battery (dismissed nolle prosequi)?
-
Shortly after I was certified as an EMT in Florida and before I had started looking for work, I was arrested for aggravated battery. The charge was dropped down to misdemeanor battery and then dismissed "nolle prosequi" before the trial. Now that the case has been resolved, I'm finally ready to start looking for work. However, I do not know if a prospective employer will hire me as an EMT once they do a background check and see that I was arrested for aggravated battery.
