What is the punishment for driving minors with a provisional license past curfew?

I was driving four 16 year old kids home from a school sanctioned event at 11 o clock and I stopped the car to look for directions on my phone and the cop pulled up behind us. He gave me a ticket for driving with minors and said I would have to go to traffic court to figure it out. I've had my license for 4 months now and I'm worried it will be taken away. What is the average punishment for this and also what's the worst it can be?

Maybe, but not likely. Go to your school and get your school counselor or other school official to write a statement that you were attending a school event, and the time the event ended. This happens a lot and is pretty easily disposed of.
