If a minor is using drugs, what can the parental rights?

whipping, grounding, talk, pray, keep them close, etc

pretty much anything. they can put them in rehabilitation or call the police on them. the minor is the parents responsibility.

They have the right to "steal" the minor's drugs and flush it down the toilet ... or use it themselves, and keep quiet.

I long ago, had 5 children. When they were all in their teens, one of them started using drugs. I took all the kids out side and lined them up, side to side. I backed up a bit and shot the bad kid. I never had a problem with the other 4 again.

You have the legal right to do just about anything to help him, help himself, short of beating him. Do everything you can, and it can be frustrating and painful as hell! Even if you have to have him locked up for awhile, have him put in rehab in leui of other punishment. Join a support group for parents and learn what others have done as well as, learn of other resources for help. Keep the communication going as best you can with your child but don't back down on the tough love approach. No one out there cares more than you do, one day he'll know that.
