I've been in Ohio for over 5 years now and I'll be 17 in about a month, but I was born in California and since Ohio doesn't have an emancipation status can I still be emancipated in Ohio, but under California's emancipation status since I was born there? Or can I just be emancipated in Ohio somehow?

YOu can be emancipated in Ohio if you get married or join the military. The state of Ohio will not use California laws to emancipate you. If you lived in California, became emancipated while there then moved to Ohio, it is possible that your emancipation would be recognized by Ohio.
