Whay was the tv show alf cancled?

There's this tv show on playboy which sets out to catch cheating wives, could showing them in the act be legal?

  • On tv there's a reality show that is basically like the tv show cheaters except it actually shows them in the act (clearly it's playboy tv). My question pertains to legality of this show. On it's face, the male hires an investigator they spy for 2 weeks than show the footage. This show is a bit different because they plant a handsome man from the get go and this man lures this guys wife into having sex. After a week or so when they're about to get busy, they show the husband the realtime footage and make him wait until they're finished to bust into the hotel room and confront her in the nude. The hotel room is payed for by the cheaters company but the woman has no idea this is a set up. My question is since this woman didn't pay for the room and is just a guest, does she have an expectation of privacy? First I was wondering how they got these women to consent to having sex with another man on camera but than I realize it wasn't her hotel room and consent may not be an issue because she has no expectation of privacy. This would mean insult to injury because they wouldn't have to get this womans consent to air the sex tape on television. I'm fairly certain this isn't staged and this show is real. Could my theory be right and since the cheaters show owns the hotel room, they can put cameras in the room and have the right to air it on tv since she was in a public space that she didn't pay for?

  • Answer:

I've not seen the show but if they show the faces of the people or even bodies since they are naked they have signed a release and been paid for it. The same goes for cheaters. It amazes me what some people will do to get on TV.

They can't publicize the person without them signing a waiver or release. Having been caught in this sexual trap, I don't know why they would sign the waiver, unless there is a lot of money involved. Rest assured, they did sign waivers. Otherwise, they would be suing playboy for all they could.
