How much is the entrance in Manila ocean park?

Smoking in the park , included a short story!?

  • Live in CA, coastal town where most areas that are side spot with access to the beach meaning more of like a rest stop with restrooms will have a sign that says 1000 dollar fine for smoking, of course I am not going to smoke in a area where smoking is not aloud. Where I live I have a park entrance located about 100 feet from my house so I enjoy going for walks through the park and I know the laws of this park and I didn't see any signs that said no smoking so I called the police and asked them if you can or not and was told yes I can unless I see signs that are posted in certain spots of the park so I had the green light to do so. I am respectful smoker, If I see kids with there mom up ahead on the pathway I feel that it is not respectful and will put it out until they pass and light back up again. Please don't go and tell me how smoking is bad for you and all this, I of course know this, something I choose to do right now and simply that. Just bothers me how people judge, you can all you want how you don't want to be exposed to that but it is legal to do so and I have the right to smoke, I could be not respectful and smoke around kids and blow the smoke all around to the point where it would bother someone, Curious how non smokers really feel about smokers, what is going through your minds. I see the looks and how people react but I want to know what these people are thinking of that person. People that always look at me like I am some demon, some will that are off in the grass a good 40 feet away will cough just to make a point and I think that is just ridicules. For many years I didn't smoke, smelling smoke from others never made me say anything and just simply wasn't bothered by it to make comments like that. story time - Park setup is like this, layers to this neighborhood, large park with a creek through the it witch is the ocean water that runs off cause the ocean is about 500 feet ahead and the residence that resides on the park side is lot of condo's with a small patio that has direct access to the park and the side I come in from is where the houses are at. So there is always a group, family that gets all together and since there backyard is small cause it is a condo where it is a small area they setup everything on the grass side of the park with activities they do and usually have a cooler with who knows how many beers, but most of the adults all have a beer and where I walk, the pathway they are about 20 feet from that and it is not like I get to this area then decide to just stop and start puffing away, I just walk by but they will stare and make comments and do the coughing thing. I was like wow you should get that checked out, my smoke is about 30 feet from you and it is effecting you like that, the person became irrational wanting to provoke a fight, really stupid. I said, everyone here is drinking beer and you have kids around this, great role model you are. I am in a public area where the laws here do not say I cannot smoke. They are always out there not everyday but enough where I see them often and now I act play the role of some weirdo, where I usually observe others to see what people are up to, cause you see all kinds of interesting things going on at the park but now ill just take a break about 40-50 feet away and just stare over at them watching them while smoking just cause - no reason or whatnot. These people are interesting and they heavily judge so i like to just stare at them. Aside from all this other rambling crap, what do you non smokers are thinking what do you feel and profile the person and this is of course if you are the judging type, that coughs and have a problem with the smokers, what are you classifying us as.

  • Answer:

I smoke sometimes. Do I care what others think of me? No. I have a right to smoke wherever I am allowed. I think you should care LESS about what people think of you. I too make sure to not smoke in places where children frequent (which is easy because i don't like children). Stop analyzing and start working on your inner self, dear.
