Is there an easy way to get child support increased?

• My kids dad was ordered to pay child support. He has been paying an amount for the last 12 years. In 2006 we had an order that said he needed to turn over his earnings every year. I had to hire an attorney to get the papers this year (2011) as he hasn't produced them since. My attorney goofed and gave them the wrong numbers for my earnings. He didn't realize I had a 1099. Now they are saying that my earning potential should be based higher. I make the same ( within 2000 ) every year. Its costing me a ton to have them fight over it when my kids dad made 26,000 more than the last time we set his child support. My lawyer says I should take 20.00 less a week than what the charts require him to pay just to get him to go away. Where is HIS BALLS! NO!!! If he is required to pay that then he should PAY IT. Thats 1040.00 I could be using on my kid! No mention of the last 4 years when I could have increased it then, but couldn't get the paperwork. The last time I tried it went on for 2 1/2 years and I finally gave up. What do I do?

  Yeah right. He can go and modify his child support because his income is less than you make. If he can not afford to pay that much then he can lower the child support. If his income increases then you can but his income didn't and your income is much higher. You are looking forward for more money? easy way to get child support increased? Only easy way is if his income increases then it can. other than that... You have no way to get it increased. Be happy with what you get or your child support will be decreased if their father decide to modify child support.
