How much trouble can you get in for driving after curfew?

Legally, how much trouble can you get in for sneaking out?

  • I've been doing it way too much, I have to admit. And yea, I know everyone goes through the little rebellious stage. However, I'm cutting down the times I do that because there's this huge release thing going on in my area where they now have like, double as many cops out watching, pretty much because of speeding. But normally when i sneak out, I just have my friend pick me up and go to his place and just hang out, and then he'll drive me back around 3am. We normally stay out from 12-3. But I just wanted to know how much possible trouble could I get in if a cop were to, let's say, pull us over when we're driving. He's 16, so first off he shouldn't be driving with anyone else in the car, and second, he has driving curfew too. So... what are some things that could happen?

  • Answer:

Lets say you get into an accident, since you shouldn't be out that late, it COULD be your fault even if you didnt cause the accident becuase you shouldn't have been out. However, you are a minor, so then your parents could get into trouble.

well from my experiences, and experiences that i have heard first of all if you got in trouble by the police, both of your parents would be contacted, you will both get tickets, and he will get a ticket for driving in the car without a legal guardian, and to some extent something would be taken in to action about him not being able to drive for however long.
