Who is commercial lawyer?

Who is responsible for the doctor's bill? Me or the lawyer?

• Few months ago, my car was hit and totalled. I suffered some injuries. I found a lawyer who said he wanted the case. He said I wouldn't owe any fees or costs unless we won the case. He said I needed to start seeing a chiropractor and set me up with one. When I went to see him, he made me sign a lot of documents including a "DOCTOR'S LIEN" which I admit did not understand what it meant. But I signed it cause the lawyer had said no fees so I wasn't worried. Well few months later, the lawyer suddenly drops my case and tells the doctor that treatments are no longer authorized. Now I receive a "STATEMENT OF ACCOUNT" from the chiropractor for over $2000!!!!!!!!!!!! Everytime I went he "treated" me for all of 5 minutes! All he did was crack my neck and back and I was in and out! So am I responsible for the bill even though the lawyer told me all fees and costs were covered??????? I mean I would never have gone to a chiropractor for my injuries had I known I would be responsible. What should I do? Call the lawyer and yell at him???? Call the doctor and tell him to go after my ex lawyer????

  You signed responsibility for the bill. He dropped your case because you were not going to win a judgement and the insurance company would not do an out of court settlement so he would not have received any money. You can call anyone you want but you are still responsible for the bill.
