if you're old enough to drive, you should also be old enough to be responsible for your actions.

They will go to your dad, but they will never believe he did it, so you're screwed. You will probably be charged with anything from malicious mischief to vandalism to a hate crime (depending on what neighborhood you were in.) Then you will have to pay a fine and all damages or go to jail, probably charged as an adult. You may have to go to jail AND pay damages, too. You are just as guilty as your friends who actually knocked the mailboxes down. As someone else wrote, forget about ever using the car again, too. >

You are just as responsible and in as much trouble as your idiot friends . Your dad should ground you for a year. You will be paying for that damage and you might end up with a police record . The police should have been there already... Unless you are a troll.

Messing with the mail in any way is a federal offense. Your parents will probably be contacted through the mail or a police officer might come right to your house. If you've never been in trouble with the law they'll probably go easy on you. As long as you tell them everything and dont lie to them. But most likely you'll have to go to court, pay fines, and community service. A lot of the time it takes a couple months before you will be contacted, but considering it was mail boxes, they might contact you sooner.

They will charge the owner of the car, your dad, unless you come forward. And, good luck EVER getting to use the car again.
