How do telemarketers get paid?

How long does it take to get paid from FEMA for services?

• We are part of a K9 Search & Rescue team and back in May we responded to Joplin, Mo for the devastation of the tornado. The head of our K9 team said that we get paid $1,000.00 a search. When we arrived in Joplin our German Shepard was the only K9 that showed up for our team. The head of our K9 team said that her dogs were there just being handled by other people (sounded fishy). My fiance and K9 spent 3 days in Joplin finding 4 living & unfortunately 1 dead. My Fiance and our K9 was even on CBN, The Weather Channel, ABC, and Good Morning America. Well we asked her when and how we were to get paid for our services she told us that we get paid through FEMA and that it would take a little bit. That was over 6 months ago! I know the government is not so speedy, but that is a little silly. How long does it normally take to get paid from FEMA? Or is it more then likely she has already gotten the money and used it with out the team's knowledge?

  Every time I have seen news reports about rescue dogs going to disaster scenes, the term volunteer has always been used. I find it odd that anyone would take advantage of hardshipto make a living.
