How to change street number but not moving?

Let me start off by saying that my family is asian and my parents, especially my dad is very superstitious. He believes the number "4" isn't a really lucky number and when we tried to rent out our house before we moved in ourselves, our house did not appeal to other asian families because of the stupid number. So he basically left me the task of finding the forms for the address number change and all that good-stuff. I want to know how I can change the address number but we're not moving. *some extra information: our number right now is 4244 and our county is san berdardino. I heard you have to pay $500 and thats fine with him...
