I have a job interview for UPS. Well, Actually i already went to the interview i now need to go to orientation. I need either a Social Security Card or my Birth Certificate which have both been lost. The sooner i can get one of them the better. Hopefully it's possible to get one before 3-5 days. I can drive to get them if needed. I live in Minnesota, Hennepin County if that matters. I was also born in Minnesota, Hennepin County but I'm not sure which hospital but maybe my mom would know. Birth Certificate or Social Security Card. Which one can i get the fastest? I can drive to get it.. I need one ASAP or i wont get the job! Also i have ZERO Dollars.. I HAVE NO MONEY!! After all i don't have a job.. Could i drive somewhere and get either my Birth Certificate or Social Security Card on the spot!? The sooner this question is answered the better! I Would greatly appreciate it! I really need this job or I'm screwed.. I tried to use a W2 in place of the social security card but they told me i need either the Birth Certificate or Social Security Card! If i would absouletly need to pay for one could you list a price also thank you!! I really do hope i can get one ASAP and for free!! After all my Job\Income depends on it! I don't have any money to get one and i have no one to borrow from.. :(

Answer:
If you are planning to get a birth certificate from the Minnesota Department of Health, you can obtain them by mail or by fax. The Minnesota Department of Health will no longer entertain walk in applicants. An in person requests are now handle by the Local Registrar Office. If you opt to get a certified copy of your birth certificate through the Local Registrar Office, all you need is to sign the application form and present a photo identification such as driver’s license, passport, SSS card or any government issued photo identification. Look for the nearest local registrar office now and get a certified true copy of your birth certificate. Good luck hope this help you!

I had to get birth certificates for police interviews. The health department handed it to me right then and there. I would also go to the local social security office and apply, it might take a little longer but you will be prepared for the future. http://www.health.state.mn.us/divs/chs/osr/index.html
Minnesota Office of State Registrar http://www.health.state.mn.us/divs/chs/osr/index.html is where you get a copy of your Birth Certificate. As it is for legal purposes like getting a job and not just for family history you are going to have to get a Certified Copy. This will probably cost more. You will have to tell a family member how urgent getting a Birth Certificate or Social Security Card is and ask them to pay - not give you the money. There could just be a chance you will lose that too. You should not lose your vital papers. Buy a poly-folder and file the paperwork away once you have purchased it. YOu will be called on to produce your Birth Certificate throughout your life and should always have a copy in good order. They may be ok to wait for you to start work without the documentation provided you have ordered it from the relevant department. Also contact Social Security and get the relevant card from them so that you have all your paperwork in order. Good Luck!!!
The birth certificate could take up to several weeks. Go to the Social Security office. Since you already have a Social Security number, your proof of citizenship is on file, so all you need to bring is your ID. On this page you can print out the application to bring to the office.: http://www.ssa.gov/ssnumber/ss5doc.htm
It's anywhere between 12 and 25 dollars for BC (depends on state). Social security administration does not charge for a SS card but you have to have two forms of I.D. State issued, drivers license, school or military I.D. Vital records does charge for birth certificate and I believe it's cash or money order, you'll have to check with your local office. Good news is you get them the same day. If you have anything of value, you could probably take it to the pawn shop and they'll keep the item until you return for it (with the slip). It usually takes 7-10 business days if requested by mail. Hope this helped!
Ask Obama he knows people that can snap thier fingers and come up with one, even of one never existed in the first place.
