What do you think about the Universal Health Care Plan?
-
Hi! I'm doing a world history project on current events, by the title you can see what it's about, universal health care. My partner and I decided to ask online to see what people think so we can make our own statistics depending on the answers we get. So I am asking (if you want) when answering the question to possibly include where you live, your age, and if you have health care. Anything else that you think may help us with our project is greatly appreciated. The question: What do you think about the Universal health care plan? Do you think that we should be focusing on other issues like the economy, war, inflation, etc? Would you prefer the Private or Public plan? Do you think that this is good for our country or just worsen the current status? Or do you just not care? Please consider those questions when answering. One question we really would like you to answer: Overall what do you think about universal health care? -Yes, we should have universal health care -No, we should no have universal health care -No, I think it's a good idea but not right now with our economy, etc -I don't know

Answer:
If you like death panals (a untrained government agent deciding weather you are fit to live) or, long waits for crutial medical service. Then you'll be happy. If you want to eliminate all Insurance. Remember O bailed out AIG, but would eliminate all except Government insurance. Then you are good to go. Good luck.

We don't have nor is anyone proposing Universal Health Care in the US.
Oh I'm terribly afraid that some government bureaucrat is going to replace my friendly mom and pop for profit insurance company bureaucrat. The structure of the Health care system makes absolutely no sense. Why would an insurance company set up for profit want to provide service to customers which means spending money. For profit insurance companies will do anything that they can to deny service to those who need expensive but life saving services. Insurance companies will go out of their way to find bogus reason for denying service to their customers especially if they know that their customer is in no position to fight back. Additionally suppose that you find signs of cancer or some other terminal disease and you're uninsured what do you do. We'll if you go to a doctor you'll be diagnosed with such a disease and will become uninsurable. The current system does nothing but encourage poorer health care. Personally I'd be happy with a Employer provided government regulated non profit option like they have in France, a public option like they have in Canada, or a government run health service like they have in Britain. We have these systems already, look at Medicare or the VA system. We're a long way away from universal health care but Yes I would like to see it happen,
