What are some careers in criminal justice?

Criminal Justice: For timid semi-passive personalities which careers in this field would you recommend?

• So, I'm a criminal justice major and I love it, I actually switched from Information Technology to this. Criminal Justice is a field that I like and that I'm truly interested in, I'm aware about the salary contrasts between the two fields and I understand what I surrendered. I also understand the general advantages vs. disadvantages of the field. However, seeing that the Criminal Justice field covers a broad range of careers to be apart of, I'm still unsure of what I actually want to do. One thing is for sure, being a police or corrections officer is not what I'm actually looking at. As a person who is kind of timid....and on the hefty side, I don't think I could put up chasing people and wrestling folks to the ground, if the situation ever called for it. So, in very short, what are some good careers in the Criminal Justice field that could accommodate my personality type?

  Hefty? First of all, the line troops are going to look at anyone "out of shape" as a "candy asses" no matter what field you choose. The best thing for you would be to drastically cut back on the carbohydrates and start an exercise program to get in shape. No matter what office you hold, you would never feel comfortable being a "Pillsbury Doughboy" among the warriors with whom you work. Besides, you consider yourself a "semi-passive" personality now, but once you get a taste of the power of positive thinking that the police academy will instill in you, it would be the best thing that ever happened to you, even if you don't choose to be a front line cop.
