Is anyone else strongly irritated that Obama wants to launch universal health care in the U.S.?

Now look, I'm not going to be sympathetic to the whole community of U.S. citizens (and probably some illegals too) who can't afford health care. Is this not why we have the Welfare system. We're already paying for that - "we" meaning those of us who get off our *** and work hard every day so that more taxes can be taken out of our paychecks. I see this alot where I live, this cycle of welfare. Children are born into it, and many times people have babies so they can get a check for them. These people have no desire to work, and why should they!? As long as John Q. Taxpayer is footing the bill. Their condition is far beyond being a little "down on their luck." Think that sounds harsh, no! Not when I see these same welfare recipients strolling out of the super market w/ their cigarettes, booze, and lottery tickets. I don't buy the whole sob story that there's no work or there are no jobs to be had. Hell, if these people (that my hard earned money is supporting) would go visit their local job service - there's a start! Or, how about asking around at different places if they're hiring. This rant of mine about people looking for jobs won't solve the health care issue. Nah, but it's a start - anyway.

No. I'm sick and tired of millions---MILLIONS---of Americans not being able to afford to see a doctor. It's a moral outrage. We're not a thirld world nation, for Christ's sake. Everybody deserves health care. Like it or not, it's going to happen. Quite rightly.
Yes. Extremely against this bill. We have a $11,000,000,000 dollar debt, a $1,400,000,000 federal deficit, Social Security is going bankrupt in 2017 ... ... and they want to shove a $1,000,000,000 dollar program through without even reading the bill? HELL NO.
Republicans all claim to 'know someone' who is cheating the system that helps millions in legitimate need. Imagine if you just turned off the computer one day and simply picked up the phone to report these people to the agency that pays them. Nope, not gonna happen. You'd rather complain than actually affect change. Welfare reform passed in the 90's, dear. ANYONE who is defrauding the system is breaking the law and should be reported. This has nothing to do with health care reform.
Yes, your rant is a start. Because god knows that nobody else has ranted about this. You are a maverick! LOL
Yes; government health care, as we see from Britain's example, gives the least to the most.
Me. But I have a junior Democrat Congressman and he only has eyes for Nazi Pelosi.
Also think of how many people are going to lose their jobs. The finance committee for national healthcare is trying to find a way to pay for their whole plan. They even suggested that insurance companies pay $100 billion dollars. Now, would you pay that much money to something that is potentially going to lose a lot of your client base? If national healthcare goes through people will want "free" healthcare and take business away from private sector companies. This means companies will have to downsize, people who've made a career with these companies for years will lose their jobs, which pay nicely. These people wont have a lot of taxable income anymore, so the government takes a hit in budget. All for destroying a huge industry. EDIT: I'm not lobbying. My family is in the healthcare field and we are up-to-date on the facts. Not saying this is the plan, but congress has taken this option into consideration. Please read before you make assumptions!
I agree. A simple name and address doesn't work when turning someone in. You have to know social sec number.
