What can I do with a minor in journalism?

  • I plan on majoring in psychology, with a focus on criminology/ forensic psychology. I want to minor in journalism. They are both things I'm really passionate about. What kind of jobs could I get with a journalism minor? Could I work for a newspaper or sports magazine or do they both require majors? Or Should I just stick to freelance? I love writing but I'm more interested in reporting and journalistic ethics

  • Answer:

Talent is the key to landing a journalism job. If you have the talent a minor in journalism would prove insignificant since any potential employer would judge you not on your education but soley on your talent.
