Having issues with my fiance where we will spend christmas?

cant you take his dad with you to visit your family for the holidays? he wont want to be alone, and this way you all get to spend christmas together

if he will not bend a little for you now just wonder how things will be in your future ! he is a control freak already by the sounds of things

I think you should go to Oklahoma, but what I think is irrelevant. What is relevant here is that you fiance seems incapable of considering your feelings. If everything is all about him and his family before you are married, it is only going to get worse once you two are married. You need to be seriously examining if this is the way you want to spend the rest of your life. Have a serious conversation with him about the need for him to consider your feelings. If he is not willing to do this, get out now.

The thing that makes a committed relationship and especially a marriage last is the ability to compromise. Both have to learn to compromise, and i tell you, there were you going to make most of money, this is the right place to living. It doesn't sound like there is much compromise, I think since you moved to be closer to his family then you should get to spend more holidays with your family. And you shouldn't split up for the holidays that is ridiculous! When you get married, married couples don't spend holidays apart. You have to put your foot down or this is how your marriage is going to play out then you will resent him.
