How do I fall in love with her?

  • I met a lady around a year ago, and at the time I was really fighting for a promotion at work and any distractions were unwelcome to me. But we really hit it off, she totally charmed me and I could feel myself starting to fall deeply in love with her and I knew that I would if I let it happen. I did everything to stop myself - keeping less in touch, taking on extra hours at work so I didn't have time to see her or think about her, and every time she slipped into my thoughts I thought about something else immediatly. I stopped myself from feeling anything for her and became confident enough to become close friends with her. In doing this, she fell in love with me and I also realized how perfect we could be together if I had let myself fall in love with her. I love her, she means everything to me, but I'm just not attatched or head over heels. We'd make great long-term partners and she's also physically very beautiful, and my mates always tell me she's out of my league. I feel regret now for not letting myself fall in love with her then and there and I wish I could fall in love with her now, but I don't know how to get those feelings back. It's as though I've conditioned my heart to not feel anything for anyone, I'm a stone! How can I fall back in love with her so we can make a go of things?

That's sad. Look.. you feel what you feel. If you're not in love with her, then your just not. Close friends might be fine, but you want to be more? If you feel very strongly that you can make it work then you should work - on you and her. Have much more time with her, do stuff together and get even closer but you might just have to move on and get over this now, sorry. Give the love a try, but its your heart and feelings, listen to them. x

People cant help who they fall in love with, there isnt anything you can do to fall in love with her, you might be able to love her but that type of love is not worth being stuck in a relationship for as you will eventually meet someone that will blow your mind away and hurt this girl. Forget what your friends think, its about what you think and you say she is beautiful but if there is no chemistry then you will end up feeling like shes just a sister to you and hurting her more when you realise and end the relationship. Wait for the right girl and dont go looking for love.
