Whats the difference between being somebodys "DIP" (doing it partner) and being someone's GIRLFRIEND?

When you are a DIP (as you call it) you get all of the sex with none of the annoying boyfriend baggage. When yo uare a GF you get some sex, but also all of the worry!! like asking yourself is he cheating on you or donig something wrong, or embarassing you, or disgracing you, or being an jerk in general. Take the DIP

Girlfriend implies commitment, affection, and a desire to be together. Your sex buddy is just that: someone you have sex with. An easy way to scratch an itch. But there are no feelings involved, no desire for a relationship with that person.

DIP says it all.

A "DIP" as you call it, does not include anything else other than sex. A gf/bf is a relationship which means, holding hands, doing things together, spending time, having feelings for eachother. A "DIP" is purely physical.

You still have to talk to you GF when your done having sex!! You don't have to talk to your DIP until you want sex again!!!

I suppose "DIP" is easier to say than FWB. Casual sex, no strings or commitments, no claim to be exclusive.

IMO a DIP is only out for sex - not a real relationship. Girlfriend should be more serious and may lead to engaged/marriage.

Doing it partner = booty call only, no other reason for them to be in your life Girlfriend implies that there is an emotional connection and that with time she will meet the guy's friends, parent co-workers etc.
