How do i collect 30% disability from my 100% disabled spouse veteren?

• Ok im doing this for my mom because she needs to know how we get the money from my stepfather since he receives a disability check from the military, my mom should get 30% since they separated but haven't divorced and she needs to know how to collect the money since he wouldn't just give it to her since he sucks, does anyone know how? it would really help us out since were kinda low on money, so recap: my step father is 100% disabled, my mom separated from him but they haven't divorced, im not his son legally but my sister is and so he should get $3,007 a month and we should get 30% of that but we need to know how to collect this money, anyone know what to do?

  I don't know everything there is to know about veterans' disability, but my impression has always been that NO ONE can touch that. I mean, no one! Even the IRS isn't able to tax it and that's saying something. Have your mom phone the nearest veterans advocate. There's generally one at the nearest VA and usually every county has an advocate.
