Can I get Full Custody of my Daughter even though my boyfriend has custody now?

First off they have to be some reasons to why your daughter is with him and not you regardless of that fact that he got a lawyer. Did you NOT show up to the court hearings to voice your opinion and are you working to prove to the courts that you can provide for her? If you prove that you are fit mentally, emotionally, financially, and have a safe place to live there should not be a problem. They have assistance for people who can not afford an attorney. You have help and resources in your local community! So get on the phone and start asking questions to get help to get your daughter back. Also did you ever call the cops on him? You need to document all these events so that you have creditability.

You are in a very bad situation. You picked an abuser to get involved in. It;s very difficult to get full custody nowadays for either parent. Very difficult. At the very least, he'll get some kind of custody and visitation. The problem is, he's an abuser and can/probably will abuse your daughter at some point. I would suggest you go back to your parents for help. They can give you support, emotional and maybe financial. But when you are ready, you really need to call the police and press charges against your bf. Otherwise, he WILL get half custody and vistiation of your child. he probably will anyway.

He gets the custody not because he hired a lawyer and paid big bucks, it is because judge sees you as an unfit mother, and your kid is better off being with the dad. There are always two sides of a story. It is kind of funny because it is almost always the woman who wins the custody battle unless she really screwed up big time.

if you can prove that your boyfriend is not a suitable canidate for parenting im sure you can get her daughter or if he lies under oath well i think that you pretty much in good hands if you can prove wat your saying and this him beating you is awful and if you guys arent married i dont see how you could be charged with kidnapping normally there are state programs to help you make money or lawyers offering help

There has to be more to this story. What do you mean you weren't able to go to court? Did you actually not show up? I would have crawled, with or without a lawyer in tow, to keep my kids. Are you on welfare? These liberal courts seem to have a lot of sympathy for welfare moms. I say file a petition for custody and this time, SHOW UP!

Gather your proof, go to Legal Aid, or its equivalent where you live, and see how they can help you. They are there to help out low income/no income people.
