How to force a program to stay open?

SHOULD I STAY OR SHOULD I GO?

• Hey guys i'm 19 and i enlisted with the air force, i'm suppose to leave for basic training in May. It's a 6 year enlistment and my job is a jet engine mechanic. Currently I'm in the Delayed Entry Program so i can choose to not go if i didn't want to. I think it will be good for me to move out and be on my own, making good money with benefits ect. Except my girlfriend doesn't want me to enlist. She is trying to talk me out of it because she wants me to stay in town with her and go to college with her. I don't know what i should do though. I really love her and it would break my heart to leave her for such a long time, but at the same time we have had a lot of problems with our relationship in the past that make me afraid to stay because i feel like she will cheat on me (again). and i will have wasted the opportunity to join the air force. I wish i could have the best of both worlds. I want to be able to leave and start something new but have her with me as well. So my question is should i stay with the girl i love? or do i leave her behind and pursue a new life in the air force. I feel like i lose no matter which one i pick. If i leave i might miss out on making my relationship work and being happy with her the rest of my life. But if i stay i might regret not joing the service and making something of myself. Which is the better option? is financial stability and a career worth more than leaving a woman you love? I'm young and don't know all the answers. WILL SOMEONE OLDER WITH BAGS OF ADVICE TO HAND OUT PLEASE GIVE ME AN INSPIRING PEP TALK ON MAKING THE RIGHT CHOICE??

  PLEASE Do not stay with this girl. She does not love you enough if she cheated on you. You need to find out who you are. You are only 19 and do not want to get stuck with someone that is dishonest. there are so many wonderful women that you will meet and will respect you enough to be honest with you. I think that going to college is a better idea than joining the air force. But that's for my own religious reasons. I must say again, DO NOT STAY WITH HER.
