Ex-boyfriend is coming to stay with new girlfriend? Worried about them having sex in my house?
-
My ex boyfriend and his new girlfriend is in town next week for the funeral of an old friend. We live in a small town with no hotels and I'm the only person who he knows well enough to stay with. My new boyfriend is completely fine with this as if I didn't offer up my spare bedroom for him to stay he wouldn't be able to attend the funeral ( we live in a very rural area and trust me he would need to stay). I have one problem. I do not mind him staying in one of my spare rooms, but I don't want the thought that he'll be in the next door room having sex with his girlfriend. It's not that I'm not over him, it's just I'm sure that you'll understand it'll just be uncomfortable. Would it be fair to suggest they sleep in separate rooms (I have two spare bedrooms)? they are not married and he's 20 and she's 17 (they are both legal in my state) I don't want to ask my boyfriend about the whole sex thing, because then he'll think I'm not over him.

Answer:
You are not over him, or you would not give a damn about his sexual relations with this woman.

If you feel the need to dictate to your guests what they may or may not do behind closed doors, you probably shouldn't have them as guests. If you and your man wound up having to stay with him, would you allow him to tell you that you can't have sex? This IS about you not wanting to be reminded that he's moved on. I suggest you either a) get over it or b) ask him to stay somewhere else.
Even though it is your house, you can't ask them to stay in separate rooms without seeming like you care about the guy. I'm sure your ex doesn't wanna hear you guys having sex. Just turn the t.v. up, and in the morning just pretend like they didn't have sex.
Tell him that if he is going to bang her you do not want to know. NO *** stains, NO condoms on floor, No screaming, NO headboard banging on the drywall, NO No heavy breathing, You get the picture. tell him if you get the idea that he is banging his new little hussey in your house you will get a bucket of water from the crick and douse them both with it before you throw them out.......... This should handle your problem.
It would be strange offering two separate bedrooms, they're dating, I'd imagine they wanna be together. If you don't wanna risk them having sex ... tell him he can't come over.
He is your ex !!! why should they have separate rooms ? While you share one with YOUR boyfriend And if they are staying for a funeral Sex maybe the last thing on his mind dont you think ???
uuumm...awkward I'd say I doubt they are going to be having sex in his ex girlfriends house and in mourning. I think your worrying over nothing. Surely, he has more respect for you than to do such a thing in your house. If he does than get over it because it's really none of your business
Obviously, you aren't over him. Otherwise, you would have no problem telling your boyfriend. You have offered the spare room. It would be wrong for you to offer a different room to his girlfriend. Why do you care whether they are having sex? You'll be having sex with your b/f, so why give them and what they're doing a second thought? If it was going to be an issue, you shouldn't have offered to help. You sound like a kind person, so be kind to yourself now. The past is in the past, so leave it there. Be a warm, hospitable host at this sad time. Good luck.
No. You either provide them a private room or you don't offer to let them stay.
Everyone needs to place boundaries in their own homes about what can and cannot happen..with the girlfriend who is a minor..I would rethink this..
