Email's not loading/opening?

Is it my problem or just my boyfriend too obsessed with emails?

• I don't know why but I seem to be really bothered by the fact that my boyfriend checks his emails A LOT. For one he always says he loves his solitude and enjoys the time he's not bothered by work emails, but I've noticed that he's either always on emails/contacting some people or checking his phone very frequently. It's like he has to see the emails 5 minutes after they've been received. Sometimes when we go out to eat or spend some time together or just take a walk somewhere, he seems to be thinking what's on the phone and really itches to check or something, and when we go to a movie and he hasn't checked his emails for the entire time, the first thing he gotta do is check when we get out of the theater. Don't get me wrong, his work involves a lot with emails answering/sending so I guess that's part of his job to be reachable in a timely manner, but he still seems to be a little overly obsessed with it. He also likes to just shoot the breeze or chat with people on emails and when he has nothing to do he seems to have to be in contact with someone all the time. We talked about all this once and he was a little upset about me accusing him of this and thinks I'm needy and just need his entire attention when we're together and that he couldn't look at his phone in any way. I'm not sure if I'm needy in that sense. It's natural people always play on their phones nowadays but him to me just seems obsessive with human contact or emails. He always says he can't understand kids nowadays can't live without their phones, but I think he'd be just the same. What's the problem here? Am I insecure or something or is he really that obsessive?

  That would drive me nuts. Especially if u don't do that to him when he wants/needs your attention.
