What causes inflammation of the heart?

A kind of minor memory loss happened to my dad suddenly this morning,,, pls help me know its' causes!?

• my dad already suffers a very high blood pressure that sometimes reaches 260, plus a heart muscle inflammation suddenly this morning, he forgot about me and my brother, my mom showed him our pictures to remind him, he said that we look familiar to him, but he doesn't know us at all, and forgot about many other things related to our home and relatives..... his condition is so bad now, he tries to remember but he can't! pls help me know what causes could be to such case, we're lost!

First of all having a high blood pressure or hypertension, of 260 is very dangerous because of the extra flow and pressure of blood on the blood vessels. Wasn't he taking any medication about it? if one goes to a doc and finds that pressure he will surely order for some medication to lower the pressure besides taking care not to intake any salt (sodium) in his meals. Preserved foods all contain any amount of salt for their preservation. High blood pressure is called also the silent death in the sense that many times one does not feel anything special and it is only when having a check by the doc that it is found.
