What to do to get an eye stop burning?

How do I stop my gums from burning?

  • I just had oral surgery about a week ago. After the surgery for a few days my gums have been burning constantly especially when i try to eat or drink. I have tried using perscribed mouthwash the doctor gave me but it wasn't working to stop the burning. The peroxide only helped for a moment and then my gums went back to burning. Its impossible for me to eat or drink no matter how hard i try. How do i stop it from buring? And also i feel like there's something in my eye. My mom checked it out but she claims she didn't see anything but i feel it. I've tried washing it out, i looked in it myself and didn't see anything. How do i know if something's in there and how do i get it out?

  • Answer:

If your gums are still bothering you a week after the surgery, then call the dentist or oral surgeon. In the mean time try using clove oil on your gums. Just put a small amount on a wet cotton swap and rub it over your gums. Clove has natural numbing properties.
