Still feeling a bit nauseated, but hungry. What can I try to eat?

I got sick friday night, wound up the past 2 days with diarrhea, and threw up again twice this morning. I layed in bed for a good 4 hours this afternoon, hoping it would ease up. It did a bit, but I still feel that bit of a nauseated feeling. All I had this morning was a bit of 7up and water that came back up, so I'm trying to be careful to not take in too much, and just drink water. But I'm starting to get hungry, I've barely eaten the past 3 days. What are good options that won't turn my stomach?

Sounds like you have a virus, or maybe food poisoning. Keep drinking water, and Gatorade if you can. Dry toast, crackers, plain boiled rice are good. When you know you can keep that down, take some chicken broth. Graduate to chicken soup, and maybe some white fish (steamed of grilled) All pretty bland things. If you can't keep things down, then maybe it's time to see the doctor.

The 7Up may have come back up because of the carbonation. Let it go flat and then try again, tiny sips at a time. Try some plain crackers like animal crackers, saltines or Ritz. A few at a time, take your time and see if those stay down. After a few hours with no vomiting, try some chicken noodle soup, a little at a time, and maybe jello, but not red - it can look like blood if you throw up again. After 24 hours with no vomiting, you can try a regular diet, but again, a little at a time, ease yourself into it. Nothing spicy or acid, like tomato or citrus. Feel better.
