Help with hydrogen peroxide?

HELP! Clogged ears? Hydrogen peroxide will not work? (please please read?)?

  • OK, so since last wednesday, I've had a clogged right ear. I have extremely limited hearing in it. I went to the doctor on friday, he told me to buy a bottle of hydrogen peroxide and use it as many times as possible until it is unclogged. Well i've been diluting the peroxide and have been using it 2-3 times every night since....whenever I flush it out, there are only tiny, thin bits and pieces of white wax coming out of my ear... However, the ringing of my ear has decreased by a bit, I hope it's not psychological. What should I do? Any other advice, aside from the H2O2?

    My mother used to warm the hydrogen peroxide before pouring into our ears - try that, the heat may help. Edit: dilute it less, it should bubble when it works - and even try using a heating pad or hot compress behind the back of the ear while you are lying down. You must be lying down with that ear facing up when the treatment is in for it to work best, the solution needs to puddle in the ear - just in case you weren't doing that. And just for the sake of it, have you had a cold or sinus infection? That could also be an issue.

well if its from a wax buildup it will take time for it to go down but you can speed things up a bit by warming up your ear first, warm wax will break up faster when you do the flushing (and warm water) make sure your doing it exactly how your doctor told you to do it

Is it ear wax causing the blockage? You should get your ears syringed by a doctor, All they do is squirt warm water deep inside your ear canal and clean it all out, it doesn't hurt.
