Why are my feet turning purple?

  • For some reason after i run my feet turn a really bright red and sometimes purple. They feel tight and like they are swelling up, its like a tingly feeling. It also happens when i get out of the shower, i dont know what it is, please help me): thanksss im 14 female

    Sounds like raynauds phenomenon. I have it in my feet and hands. You can lose circulation to fingers and toes causing color changes. Typically red, white, grey and blue. It happens with temperature changes and amazingly even with mood changes. Just be grateful it doesn't affect your face like some people with raynauds. It's not a big problem, just a little uncomfortable. If you lose feeling in any fingers or toes, warm them up with warm water. Worse case scenario, they could get gangrene if not warmed up for a long time. There is a certain vitamin that can help, but... I don't remember it.. :(

It's your circulation. Try laying down and raising them up to relieve it and get the blood moving by massaging your legs, rubbing upwards towards the heart. Just a thought... :)
