What are the best sales training books?

Pharmacy Tech training? Books without DVDs?

• I am buying some books on-line to study for a pharmacy tech certification. I have found a couple of books that sound useful, but I am not sure. They are the _Getting Started in Aseptic Compounding Workbook_ and the _Getting Started in Non-Sterile Compounding Workbook_, both by Karen Davis and Jason Sparks. In one description of one of these books, it refers to the book as part of a "video training course." What I want to know is, would the books be any use without the DVDs? The books alone are about $40 each, the sets with book and DVD are closer to $400 each set! If you have used these books/DVDs, I would love to get your opinion. If it helps, I am a good student, with a master's degree in library science, there just aren't any jobs in my field! If you have any other words of wisdom, I'd love to hear those, too. I am a Texas resident, and would be looking for positions in north central Texas or possibly southern Oklahoma (Texoma area). Moving is NOT an option.

  Those are very specific study books. If you are just starting in the field, try to find a more general book. The one I was given was "The Pharmacy Technician" published by Perspective Press and Morton Publishing. There are many aspects to a pharmacy tech job, compounding being just one. Classes are very helpful, and not too expensive. I took a 12-week course at a local community college for about $700. I have been working in a pharmacy for 5 years now, and have been certified for 3 years. The web site below lists some good books also.
