**************READ THE WHOLE POST PLEASE THANKS SO MUCH GOD BLESS YOU :D Im 14 almost 15 Ive been recovering from Anorexia for almost a year. Ive been having these extreme chest pains almost like a heart attack that can last for hours and I cant walk or talk or breath normally . They usually happen when i eat spicy foods but lately its just been happening at random times even when i haven't ate the either day. I all so have a sore felling in my chest area after it happens and it last all though the night. Could i have a heart condition or cancer or something? I just wanna make sure its something serious before i go to my doctor.. Thanks for your answer

Answer:
Sounds like you have acid reflux, also known as Heartburn. I know it sounds lame for the pain your having, but reflux can be very uncomfortable. It kept me up at night coughing for months and I had scarring on my vocal chords that has never gone away completely.Try Zantac 150 over the counter, Prevacid or some of the other OTC options. Prop the head end of your mattress up on some books or something that will keep your head above level while you sleep. Do not eat for 2 hours before you want to sleep. Mint flavored ANYthing will make it worse, not better. It relaxes the muscle at the bottom of your esophagus. I took this medicine for a while when I had the scarring and damage to my esophagus. The website has good information about what to avoid eating and other things you can do like with propping up the bed, that can help. http://www.purplepill.com/acid-reflux-disease/foods-to-avoid.aspx

Did you purge before starting your recovery? You may have messed up your esophogus. If you are having chronic chest pains, with your history you need to see a doctor as soon as you can. It may just be acid reflux or heart burn exacerbated by your condition, but there's no need to risk it. Obviously, from your post, you're still not quite eating normally so that raises red flags as well. Being an anorexic, you are probably also prone to anxiety so you may be having anxiety attacks, which some people mistake for heart problems. See a doctor and keep notes until then about pain scale, time of day, what you were doing when it happened, etc. And try to stay around people, too, just in case you need help. PS -- Heart attack does not present in women the same as it does for men, so the symptoms of heart attack listed above are not likely to be a factor for you.

Lack of nutrition into body could also cause disturbances to your mind, and may result in some type of anxiety, and panic disorder because you have been going through a lot of stress. If you have heviness in your chest, radiating pain in your jaw, left shoulder etc rush to emergency. If you have gone through these panics before, see a psychiatrist and you may be prescribed some medicine. Do not go to sleep until after 3 hours after dinner. Dont eat much of spicy food. Drink plenty of water during the day. if the chest pain persists go to a doctor.

Chest pain isn’t always a sign of a heart attack, or even of a heart problem. Angina is a chest pain or discomfort that occurs when an area of your heart muscle doesn't get enough oxygen-rich blood or when the heart’s arteries are clogged. (When they are completely clogged, a heart attack occurs). The pain in angina is felt under the breast bone (around the centre of the chest) like a deep pain. It usually lasts less than 30 minutes and can radiate to the neck, the jaw or the left arm. It can be accompanied by breathlessness, cold sweat and nausea or vomiting. The pain of angina usually gets worse with physical exertion and is relieved by rest or by taking a drug called nitro-glycerine. If you’ve had it for more than 30 minutes you’ve probably had a heart attack. I suggest you call a doctor, and try to reach the nearest family member! Hope everything goes Ok!
